Overview

Use this page to find out about the updates we've made to our APIs and integrations. Note that:

• The Release Notes are up-to-date at the time of the release. Further improvements or corrections to our API documentation normally occur in the guides and references only.
• For some APIs listed on this page, we only support existing integrations. This support will continue until further notice; however, new integrations are not allowed. These are clearly marked.

Breaking change notification

20th August 2023

As part of its ongoing commitment to the security of its customer’s information, Fourth will be updating its platform to require all connections to use TLS 1.2 or higher from 9 January 2024. Older versions of TLS will be retired.

TLS is the encryption method used to secure communications over HTTPS. This will have no impact on SFTP connections.

Inventory

New integrations are not supported for the following APIs. However, existing integrations remain supported until further notice.

These APIs have also been known as the Fourth Purchasing & Inventory Web Service and the R9 APIs.

• Inventory Sales Submission via API / FTP
  New integrations must use the POS Gateway via FTP / API.
• Inventory Menu Item Configuration API
  New integrations must use the Recipe & Menu Engineering APIs.

FnB Live

These APIs have also been known as the Fourth API, FnB Admin API and FnB Shop API.
