Overview

This API is available only to existing integrations. New partners must use the POS Gateway.

This page holds any changes that have happened to our Adaco Sales API since 2018.

These Release Notes are up-to-date at the time of the release. Further improvements or corrections to our API documentation will normally occur in the guide.

Breaking change notification

20th August 2023

As part of its ongoing commitment to the security of its customer’s information, Fourth will be updating its platform to require all connections to use TLS 1.2 or higher from 9 January 2024. Older versions of TLS will be retired.

TLS is the encryption method used to secure communications over HTTPS. This will have no impact on SFTP connections.

January 2018 — Adaco Sales API restricted to existing integrations only

Please note that the Adaco Sales API is restricted to existing integrations only; new integrations must use the POS Gateway

With the launch of the POS Gateway, the Adaco Sales API is no longer available to new partners when integrating. The POS Gateway provides all the access partners need to provide sales data into the Fourth platform, including Adaco. Integrating with the POS Gateway ensures that you will not need to do additional integrations to Fourth for future customers.

However, this sales submission is and will continue to be supported for existing integrations.
