Save time & stop errors
What is it?
The Exchange Rate API enables you to create and update exchange rates in Fourth for a customer account. You can supply rates for both individual properties and every property, simply and within the same request.
The Exchange Rate API is an HTTP REST API, making integration easy.
Why use it?
Whether it’s uniforms from Turkey, or umeboshi from Japan, our Fourth customer-base regularly engage in purchasing goods from around the world. To support this, they need to be able to create purchase requisitions and orders for vendors in different currencies. By integrating with this API, you can ensure that the rates they use are:
- Regularly updated
- Accurate, with no manual data errors
- Aligned with corporate rates across the business, such as with a back-office payment system
Note that, if you need Fourth to instead fetch the data, you will need our Fourth Connect team to create an interface between this API and the relevant other data source (or API). Customers can request this by contacting their Fourth customer success manager.
